Taxes...

Mommy says, "Today the three of us had a nice, leisurely breakfast and morning at home. Later on, however, we started working on our taxes. Our goal was to get them done this weekend, but I thought it might take the entire day. Thankfully, Lillian played really well while we both worked and we were able to finish them up by mid-afternoon! We were so relieved to have them done that we just had to celebrate. So we got cleaned up (I'm sure it's a fact that your taxes go more quickly if you do them in your pajamas...) and headed out to Red Robin for dinner. Phew! We had the rest of the evening to relax and boy did we enjoy it!"

Trip to the mall

This morning Mommy and I went on our fourth of four playdates in a row! We met up with some friends at Rivertown Mall. Mommy says I was especially energetic in the play area this time and even tried to climb out!
Later on Gabe and I got to play with all the cool cars and toys upstairs.Afterward we went to Liz and Andrew's house for lunch. Mommy says the lunch was delicious! I taught Gabe a new trick.
Phew! After all of that playing I was worn out! Good thing Mommy and Daddy and I are planning to have a quiet weekend at home!

Playgroup

Mommy says I have a very full social calendar this week because I have four days in a row of playdates! Today I went to a playgroup we've visited before, and afterward my new friend Gibson came over for lunch. What a fun week!

Playdate with Ella

This morning my friend Ella came over for another playdate. I taught her one of my newest games - jumping in the crib! I hope Ella's mommy doesn't mind...

First visit to Playworld

Today Mommy brought me to a new and exciting place - Playworld! I had such a blast! There were all sort of little houses for me to explore, cars to ride, a giant bounce house and more!
We met up with our old neighbors Amy, Lydia, Shelly, and Celara.
It was such a fun morning! Mommy says she'll be sure to bring me back again sometime!

Game night

Tonight Mommy, Daddy, and I went to game night at Jen and Bryan's house. Anna and I spent the first part of the night playing together (before it was time for bed) and Mommy got practice holding two kids at once!Last month Mommy and Daddy's friends had a Murder Mystery Night for game night and dressed up in silly costumes!

Trip to Flushing, part 2

This morning we all went to Krispy Kreme for breakfast. Yum!
Even the adults liked to watch the doughnuts being made!Afterward we drove to Bada and Poppy's new house in Flint. They bought it just after Christmas but will have to wait a little bit longer before moving in. I tested out the new carpet!
They have a lot of painting and other work they want to do but the house already looks like a great place to live! Of course, a little more furniture wouldn't hurt :)

Trip to Flushing, part 1

This afternoon we drove to Flushing to have dinner with family. We went to a fun restaurant called Sagano Japanese Bistro & Steakhouse. It was really neat! The chef at our table lit things on fire, threw food in the air, and made our meal a lot of fun! I mostly ate the food Mommy brought for me, but she and Daddy said the food was great!

Another morning playdate

This morning Mommy and I met up with some friends again at Rivertown Crossings Mall to play and have lunch together. We had a great time!

Mommy's tummy #2

Mommy says, "Here is the latest shot of me at 17 weeks prego. The exciting update is that Dan felt the baby kick for the first time tonight! I have been feeling him or her move for about a week and a half now, which is much sooner than I did with Lillian. We are counting down the days until our ultrasound!"

Visit with Julie, Trader Joe's, IKEA!

Mommy says, "Yesterday we loaded up the car and took off on a little road trip after church. Abbey stayed at home this time (thanks to Uncle Terry and Aunt Cindi!), but the rest of us hit the road. Our first stop was to the home of our friends Julie and Susan."
"Julie made us a delicious dinner and we had a lot of fun together! Lillian loved playing with the doors in their hallway."
"We hadn't seen Julie in several months, so it was really great to catch up. And very helpful that she and Susan let us stay with them! On Monday morning we headed to Trader Joe's and IKEA. It just so happened that IKEA was giving out free breakfast that morning so we had a delightful breakfast to start our day. Lillian had fallen asleep in the car so she snoozed while we ate."
"Dan and I had been to IKEA once before, so we knew a little bit of what to expect. Although I was still surprised that we spent 5 hours there! Lillian was very good about riding in the cart for so long but we did let her get out and play every once in a while.""She really liked the train table!"
"And the cupboards."
"Despite some frustration with out of stock products, we had a very successful trip. We bought a headboard/footboard, matching dresser, and nightstand for Lillian, an end table for our living room, and some silverware! We were seriously praying that the headboard would fit in the car and, thankfully, it did!""Now comes the hard part... waiting until Lillian's birthday to put all of this new furniture together!"

Fun at church

This morning I went to church early because Mommy was on the worship team with Daddy. Between the rockin' music and the baptism pool I had a great time! Mommy says thanks to Erika for keeping me safe!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is my second Valentine's Day! When I woke up this little basket was waiting for me.
I had fun playing with my new doggy.
I spent part of the day with Mommy and Grandma while Daddy went to class. Mommy made Valentine cookies and we had a lot of fun! Mommy and Daddy had a nice dinner together after I went to bed.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Pizza Night

Mommy says that growing up she had pizza every Friday night for dinner and it was always a special treat! She still craves it on Fridays sometimes, so we ordered in tonight.
I guess Abbey really wanted that piece of food...

Impromptu breakfast outing

This morning we decided at the last minute to have a little breakfast outing before Daddy had to go to work. It was fun!

Doctor's appointment

Today we went back to the doctor's office so Mommy could have her 16-week check up. The appointment was late in the day so Daddy and I got to go with!
Daddy took a video of the baby's heartbeat so everyone could hear it! Mommy's ultrasound is scheduled for St. Patrick's Day - March 17. Hopefully then we'll find out if I am going to have a little baby brother or sister!!

More bathtime silliness

Daddy helped with my bath tonight and things got a little out of hand.
I always snuggle Mommy after my bath!

Baby #2 update

Mommy says, "I've been trying to pay close attention to see if I could feel the baby kick yet and today I definitely did! This is a lot earlier than I felt Lillian move, but it's probably just because I actually know what it feels like. It's very exciting :)"

Lunch with friends

This afternoon we got together with some friends for lunch.

A quiet day

It has been a very busy week for our family, especially Daddy. Our goal today was to stay home and wear our jammies as much as possible. We were quite successful at achieving our goal and had a very good time!

Bath paints and bath babies

Mall date

This morning Mommy brought me to the Rivertown mall to meet up with some friends. We started the morning by playing together in the play area.We did some fun things to celebrate Liz's birthday.
Liz even let me borrow her sunglasses!
We walked around the mall and did some shopping...
And then we had a nice lunch at TGIFriday's.
Phew! After that I was ready for a nice nap!
