DeYoung Christmas, day two

This morning we returned to my parents' house for a yummy brunch, too many presents, and lots of fun together!
The cousins took full advantage of having more time to play together.

Liam kept himself occupied while the rest of us ate.

After a delicious brunch and a little clean-up time we gathered in the living room to sing and open presents.
I woke Liam from his nap so he could join in on the festivities.

Liam got his first glow-in-the dark jammies!
Caleb was excited to get another googly eye shirt!
Dan and I truly enjoy the time we get to spend with each of our families and this Christmas was certainly no exception.  We feel blessed to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior with people we love so much!

DeYoung Christmas, day one

After church this morning we went to my parents' house for a delicious feast and day one of Christmas festivities!
Lillian and her cousin Elsie loved spending time together!

We opened a few presents but saved most for tomorrow.  Although a "few" presents multiplied by five families still adds up to a lot!

 Hooray for sock monkeys!
 Caleb, the future organist?!
I have thought so many times about our Christmas season last year and how different things were then.  I am so incredibly thankful that God's plans included my dad continuing his work here on earth.  We love you Dad AKA Papa!

GRCM: Family style!

This morning we had the privilege of taking the kids to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum and meeting up with several of my family members there.  I think it's safe to say that we all had a great time!

Afterward we all went out to lunch together and had a wonderful time catching up.

It was great to with spend time with so many members of my family.  In a few days we will all be together  to celebrate Christmas!

Doll house construction

We drove home this morning and after unpacking, eating some lunch, and getting the boys tucked in bed for naptime, we promptly began construction of the dollhouse.
I was excited to drink hot chocolate in my new mug that I got for Christmas!
Putting on the finishing touches!  I'll be sure to post pictures of Lillian playing with it over break!

Merry Christmas!

Two cute, bright-eyed kiddos ready for fun on Christmas morning!
And one not-quite-as-bright-eyed cutie, too!  One of Liam's top teeth came through yesterday but it is still causing him some pain.  I am sorry he's not feeling better but I am loving the extra snuggles!
Time for presents!

No DuPuis gathering would be complete without lots of delicious food!

And more time playing and visiting.  It is great to see the cousins have fun together!

It was a great day celebrating the birth of Jesus with Dan's family.  Merry Christmas to all!
