It's become a bit of a tradition that once or twice a week we have an "ice cream party" out on the deck after Lillian has eaten a good meal. As you can see, she really enjoys these. :)George joined us for this one.

Lillian has been very into Strawberry Shortcake lately, so she was very excited when I found this book.She was even more excited when she got dessert after dinner tonight.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Peter, Megan, and the girls arrived late last night and we were all able to gather today to celebrate my mom's actual birthday. Life always gets a little crazy with a dozen kids under the age of 9 in one house!

Surprise!

My siblings and I have been plotting a surprise party for my mom for the last few months. Tonight we actually pulled it off! The only unfortunate details were that my dad couldn't join us and that my siblings from Texas were delayed. But, tomorrow they will be here to celebrate with us. Happy Birthday Mom!

Spring has sprung!

Dan and I thought that it was a bit early for our flowering tree to bloom, so I checked out the blog posts from last year. Turns out the tree bloomed on May 3 last year! Hopefully some of the tulips can hold out for Tulip Time!

Today I went to a baby shower for our friend Laura, who is expecting a baby boy in just a few more weeks. It was great to get all the girls together!

Tip Toes

Tonight Tip Toes, a local children's boutique, celebrated the grand opening of their new store. We went to check it out and Lillian loved all of the new toys!

Miscellaneous firsts

We made a Target run tonight and got a great deal on some kids toothpaste. Lillian has officially graduated from baby toothpaste (flouride-free) to kids toothpaste. She was pretty excited!
Caleb is sitting much better on his own these days.He also likes practicing his soccer skills. We figure since he's not even a year old, he's allowed to use his hands.

Siblings

Lillian and Caleb love each other a lot. Sometimes they get a bit carried away, however.

Mini vacation, part three

Our few days here have been nice and relaxing. Even Abbey got to relax in style.
Caleb also had his first bath in the big tub.

Mini vacation, part two

One of the reasons we decided to spend some time in Flint was because Lillian and I needed to get fitted for our dresses for Mindy and Jay's wedding. Lillian had a lot of fun trying on the pretty, princess dresses.

Mini vacation, part one

This week is Dan's spring break, so we decided to take a mini-vacation to his parent's house in Flint. We left Monday afternoon and spent part of the evening with Dave, Jen, Clay and Landon. Clay and Lillian had a lot of fun playing soccer outside.
Clay is a very good soccer player, so Lillian really got to learn from a pro!
Caleb and Landon had a good time too.
