A breakthrough

Mommy says, "I have been trying to get lots of scrapbooking done the last few days. My goal is to get the first year of Lillian's life in scrapbooks before she turns two. I don't know if I'll make it, but this morning I actually got some scrapbooking done while Lillian sat at the table with me and colored! It was quite the breakthrough!"

Crowded crib

This morning I thought it would be fun to pile up most of my stuffed animals in my crib and throw them out again! Don't you think that sounds like a good idea?

Mommy's tummy and wedding singers

Mommy says, "Here is the latest shot of me at 26 weeks."
"This afternoon we dropped Lillian off at my parents' house because Dan and I sang in a wedding. The wedding was beautiful, despite the stormy weather, and the reception was very elegant. It made for a nice date night! Here is a shot of the happy couple and their neat wedding cake."

When Daddy got home we decided to go downtown for a bit. What a beautiful, sunshiney day!

Trip to the zoo

Today Mommy and I spent the morning with some friends at John Ball Zoo. Mommy says we went there last summer and I had a blast! This time I could do even more and really liked looking at the animals. After a fun morning walking and looking at the animals, we all had a picnic lunch by the duck pond. What a great day!

Grand Rapids Children's Museum (again!)

Tonight Mommy and I went with some friends from church to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. We had a lot more time to spend than the last time we went and I had a great time exploring! My favorites were the bubbles, grocery store, and sand table, but I also got to use a giant tooth brush, play with shapes, and more!

Food n' Fun Night: Easter Celebration!

Mommy says, "Tonight we had our monthly Food n' Fun Night at church. Although Easter has already come and gone, we felt we couldn't miss an opportunity to celebrate and share the Easter story with the many visitors that come to these events. We had music, a drama, egg decorating, and, of course, a giant Easter egg hunt with about 25 lbs of candy! What fun!""Our last Food n' Fun Night event of the school year will be on Wednesday, May 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and we will be holding a FIESTA! If you are in the Holland area, come check it out!"

Belated Easter with cousins

Today Mommy and I went to Grandma and Papa's house to spend some time with my cousins. We weren't all able to get together yesterday on Easter, but most of us were able to meet up today instead. We had a belated Easter egg hunt - my third of the season! We all wound up with lots of candy - including Micah.
I even had my first taste of a Peep, although I didn't finish it.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!
This morning I went to church early with Mommy and Daddy so they could practice before the service. I had fun playing with some friends of mine at church. Then Bada and Poppy showed up at church! After the first service they took me home and we played together. Once Mommy and Daddy got home from the second service, I got to open my Easter basket.
Even my baby brother got some gifts!
Instead of a chocolate Easter bunny, I got an Easter duck! I wanted to bring it to the bath tub at first, but once Daddy showed me I could eat it, I was even more excited! After playing a bit more, Mommy tucked me in bed for my nap. While I slept, the adults had a big Easter dinner together. They even had cheesecake for dessert!
After my nap I got to go on my second Easter egg hunt of the year! I also modeled my new dress from Bada and Poppy! We spent more time together as a family and had lots of hugs before Bada and Poppy had to head back home. What a great day!

Spring Break: Easter Eve

Today we spent some time at Grandma and Papa's house. My uncle Peter is visiting from Texas with two of my cousins, Sophie and Abby. Mommy says Aunt Megan and Amy had to stay behind so Amy wouldn't miss school. We had a lot of fun playing together! The girls even set up my own private Easter egg hunt since I won't be here to join them for the big one tomorrow.I really enjoyed looking for the eggs, especially when Daddy showed me all the good stuff inside!
Sophie and Abby put on their Easter dresses for us all to see! Aren't my cousins pretty? They even taught me a new game!

The two Abbies... It's a little bit confusing having a cousin named Abby and a dog named Abbey, but I think I figured it out.

Spring Break: Downtown

This morning Mommy, Daddy, and I went downtown to one of our favorite stores, Tip Toes. They had some special deals since this week marks their first anniversary as a store. Daddy and I had fun playing with the toys, while Mommy picked out a baby book for my baby brother and something special for my birthday. Afterward we went to 8th Street Grille for lunch. Yum!

Spring Break: Carter's Warehouse Sale

Mommy says, "Once or twice a year the local Carter's Outlet has a warehouse sale, where they rent out a nearby storefront and fill it with discounted clothes. The sale lasts for 10 days and last year I stumbled upon it midway through the sale. This year I decided to go on the first day and see what kind of deals I could get. Wow. It was crazy! I got lots of clothes for baby boy, many of which cost only one or two dollars! But, we went at the peak of the busyness for the day and spent three hours in line. Yep. Three hours. Lillian took turns playing with Dan and me by the duck pond and probably thought it was the best morning she had had in a while."

Spring Break: Grand Rapids Children's Museum

Today was another fun day! Mommy, Daddy, and I took a trip to Grand Rapids. We went to a coffee house that came highly recommended and then to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. It's been quite a while since I last went there and I had a blast! There was so much to explore!
