Sleepy boy

I'm pretty sure this is the first "sleeping in the high chair" picture we have ever captured.  I don't remember Lillian or Caleb ever having this experience.  Apparently Liam is still adjusting to his two-nap schedule!

Snow day #2!

Oh the joys of an unexpected snow day!  I really didn't think we would end up with an "ice day" today since ice storms are difficult to predict accurately.  I was calming a fussy Liam when my phone rang with the news!  We made the most of the day with our traditional snow day breakfast, jammies, and lots and lots of playtime!

Mama!

After a lovely dinner date as a family Liam provided the proverbial icing on the cake - he said "mamama" for the first time!  Oh how I love that boy!

Dinner dates

Tonight Dan and I had some pretty cute dinner dates!

Bonding with Daddy

Dan fed Liam his oatmeal and got him dressed in his jammies while I tucked Lillian and Caleb in bed.  This is how I found them afterward.

Oatmeal

Since Liam has been eating more solid food lately we decided to try regular oatmeal tonight.  He was not a fan.

We tried pureeing it. He still wasn't a fan.

Mixing it with applesauce finally got a better reaction!

Snow day!

On Sunday and Monday we received a lot of snow, but apparently not enough to warrant a snow day yesterday.  Today, however, is a different story.  Both Lillian and I have our first snow day of the year!  Snow days are a big deal in our house, so we pulled out all the stops!  We started the day by watching for the snow trucks and making homemade "snow day" doughnuts.

Later on we read snow stories in front of the fire, colored snow pictures, made crafts, played with toys, and played outside in the snow!  It was a fantastic day!

Ten months old!

Look at this - I took Liam's ten month pictures on the actual day he turned ten months old!  That's what happens when I get a well-timed snow day!  Liam is still our big buy bu his weight has stayed pretty much the same these last few months and he is still weighing in at 23 1/2 pounds.  Yes, that is still huge, but at least he hasn't been gaining 1-2 pounds each month like he was!
Liam likes to move and can do so surprisingly fast considering the fact that he isn't crawling yet.  He lays on tummy, pivots to face the right direction and then rolls to his desired destination with impressive speed and accuracy!
He still has four teeth and has been trying more finger foods.  He was waking up rather alert in the night so we have tried transitioning him from three naps down to two.  So far this seems to be helping, but also explains some of his very sleepy evening photos as of late!  Oh Liam, we love you so much and are so very thankful for all three of our kiddos!

Snowy Sunday

The weather was quite horrendous this morning with a subzero wind chill and lots of blowing snow.  Dan and I made the decision for me to stay home with the kids and have our own church service instead.  We started at 10:00, just like at Sunrise and sang songs, read from the Bible, and had a rather lengthy Kidzone time complete with a craft and play doh!

Later in the day we were very grateful to have a visit from Dan's parents.  They spent the night at our house and we all had a fun time together.  The kids have been looking forward to Bada and Poppy's visit all week!

Full day!

This morning we hosted a Pull Ups House Party, which basically meant we had several friends with young kiddos come over, eat food, and get some great Pull Ups freebies!
After the party we drove to the East side of the state for our nephew Landon's 3rd birthday party.  The party was at a bowling alley, which meant that Caleb had his first opportunity to go bowling!  Everyone had a great time!

Sick day

Dan has been fighting some cold/respiratory bug for a week or so but yesterday it started to get worse.  This morning he felt awful and begged asked me to stay home to help with the kids and allow him to go to the doctor.  He slept and took it easy throughout the day and the rest of us had a lot of fun playing.

As it turns out, Dan has a sinus infection and possibly walking pneumonia or bronchitis.  We are hoping it is only the sinus infection, but we will have to wait and see (and pray) at this point.  I think the quiet day today did a lot of good for him, though, and I certainly didn't mind extra time with my cuties!
