Kids Hope training

Mommy says, "Tonight I am leading a training session for all of the new Kids Hope mentors at our church. As a result, Lillian and I have spent a lot of time at school the past two days. She has been a real trooper and has been very good even though we have spent a lot of time away from home. Here she is making herself at home in the teacher's lounge."

A busy week and a fun evening

Daddy has had sort of a busy, stressful week at school. He and Mommy decided we should have a special evening tonight to unwind. First we went to the mall so I could play in the play area.
Then we went downtown and ate pizza and ice cream!
Last we stopped at church to see the progress. It was a really fun evening!

Deanna's Playhouse

Mommy says, "Once a month a free playgroup is held at Deanna's Playhouse, which is a neat place for kids that's right near our house. We've only been to the playgroup one other time, but it is geared toward the 0-24 month age group and Lillian seems to really like it!"

Progress at church

Tonight we stopped at our new church building to see how it has changed. Daddy says it's getting close to being ready!
He and I tested out the new chairs in Brian's office.

Fall Cookies

Mommy says, "One of my favorite fall traditions is making fall sugar cookies. I love decorating them with icing of all the colors of fall leaves. I made the cookies over the weekend and discovered that Lillian loves them. Maybe a bit too much... She asked for a cookie and I let her have one. Then she asked for another. And another. At last she had the three remaining cookies in her hands. Thinking that three sugar cookies was a bit excessive for someone who barely weighs 21 lbs, I ate one. That was when the tears and wailing began."
"After a few minutes she started to calm down. I knew our relationship was saved when she offered a bite of one of her remaining cookies to me."

New friends and apple picking!

Today after church we had lunch with the other staff families. I had a lot of fun playing with the other kids.
After a nice nap, Mommy, Daddy and I went to Crane's Orchard to pick apples!
Can you find me?
I love apples!
Here I am signing "apple."
We had so much fun!

Fun with friends

Today I got to spend some time with my friend Anna. We went out to dinner with our parents.
While we were there I kept making my crazy face.
Bryan and Jen thought it was pretty funny.
Anna was quite entertaining also.
We had a great time!

A very fun day

Today I got to play in the kitchen while Mommy made cookies!
I had so much fun!
After the cookies were done Mommy and I walked down to our church's new building. It is not done yet, but today the sign went up!
We met Daddy there and went downtown to walk, shop, and eat. They had a cool event with real people pretending to be mannequins. It was packed!
We also spent some time playing while we were downtown. I discovered that dried leaves make a really neat sound when you stomp on them!

Randomness

Mommy says I am getting better at coloring.
But sometimes I still try to eat the crayons.
I wanted to try on Abbey's collar. Do you think it's a good look for me?
We went to Panera for dinner tonight. Daddy was acting silly and making me laugh.
I guess I was in a silly mood too.

Fun outside

We've had a bunch of little flags in our lawn for the last few days and today Mommy let me pick them up!
I walked up and down the sidewalk with them.
Sometimes I shared the flags with our neighbors.Later on we went for a walk. I was so tired, this is what I looked like at the end.

Helping out

Today I decided to help mommy sweep the kitchen floor.
And the carpet.
After all of that sweeping I was ready to rest!
Tonight we went to our friends Sarah and Alex's house. They are going to be moving to Arizona soon and we will miss them very much.Mommy says, "How can you not love this face?!"
Later on our friends Jen and Anna stopped by for a short visit. We always have fun playing together.
Thanks for the super cute jammies, Grandma!

Reading frenzy and apple dippers

I still love to read... just about anywhere!
We went to McDonald's for dinner tonight and I ate an entire package of Apple Dippers. Yum!
