Grand opening!

The McDonald's near us has been closed for the last few months for renovation. This week they are having their grand opening with special events and pricing. We made a trip to check it out.Afterward we went to Walmart for FREE ice cream sundaes!
No, I didn't really let him eat the ice cream.Caleb was tuckered out by the end of our trip.

Inaugural ride

The kids got a wagon for Christmas from my parents and today we decided Caleb was old enough for the inaugural ride. We all had fun!

Birthday ice cream!

Tonight we took the kids downtown so Lillian could pick out her own special ice cream creation from Cold Stone. They have a great birthday club for adults and kids where you get free ice cream for your birthday! Lillian picked out strawberry ice cream with M&M's on top.

Lillian's 3rd Birthday Party

Lillian has been talking about having a My Little Pony party for months now, and at last today is the day!We played some pony party games.
And Lillian got her first tricycle! And another surprise gift!

We had a Pinkie Pie My Little Pony cake.
And afterward she got to test out her tricycle for the first time!

Happy 3rd Birthday Lillian!

Today is Lillian's third birthday! I really can hardly believe it. She is so funny, so sweet, and such a happy, loving little girl. We did our best to celebrate her today and will do so tomorrow as we celebrate her birthday with family. Here's Lillian showing her age.

Afterward we went home and watched Lillian open her presents.Later in the evening, Dan's brother Dave, Jen, and their kids Clay and Landon came over. Clay and Lillian had a lot of fun playing outside.

Birthday Eve

Caught in the act.Today is Lillian's birthday eve! Friends of ours brought over a delicious Indian dinner, including special mouse birthday cupcakes!
She liked it so much, in fact, that she broke out into spontaneous dancing.

Mother's Day trip

We took a trip to the other side of the state to be with Dan's family for an early Mother's Day celebration.

Stuck

Caleb has been following the same progression as his big sister when it comes to crawling. He now can get up on his hands and knees, rock back and forth, and scoot himself backward. As a result, he finds himself in the same predicament she once did (see Dec. 8).

Cousins

We spent a little time at my parents' house today and Caleb and Levi got a chance to play together. Levi is only about seven weeks younger than Caleb. I'm not sure how old the penguin is.

Kinderplaats, part two

I had so many fun pictures from Kinderplaats that I figured I'd better split it into two posts. After our morning fun, we had lunch at Lindsey and Jeff's house, followed by more petting zoo and inflatable fun at Kinderplaats.

Kinderplaats, part one

I don't know how many of the Tulip Time activities we will participate in this week, but Dan and I knew we wanted to bring the kids to Kinderplaats. Lillian has gone the last two years and really enjoyed it. We met up with our friends and their kids, Gabe and Anna, and all of the kids (and adults) had a great time.
