Tulip Time, take one

Tonight we took a stroll downtown to eat an elephant ear and watch the Dutch dancers. We were hoping to see the kids' babysitter, Alani, but she ended up dancing later than we could stay. We had a great time anyway!

Mother's Day!

The morning started out with a little more playtime in the box......followed by a great time at church that even included a releasing of butterflies that hatched last week! Oh, and a drum solo by Caleb...
...followed by a special Mother's Day brunch on my new dishes...
...followed by more playing with the boxes......and a delightful walk outside!

Kinderplaats after-party

After Kinderplaats the kids had another party with the boxes and bubble wrap we had on hand.

Kinderplaats!

One of my favorite days of the year is the day Dan and I take the kids to Kinderplaats! They always have a ton of fun playing on the inflatables and seeing the animals. Today was no exception! Our friends Bryan, Jen, and their daughter Anna joined us for the fun!

Sunglass models

My sunglasses broke recently and this week we received a $10 coupon good toward any purchase of $10 or more at Kohl's. So, off we went to find me a new pair of sunglasses! The kids were great at modeling them for me!

Wednesday = Kids eat free!

We try not to eat out very often but we recently discovered that kids eat free at 8th Street Grille on Wednesday nights. Tonight we went to take advantage of the offer!

Festival at the Pines

Our church is having a big FUNdraiser weekend with several different events. Last night Dan and I went to a date night event and today we brought the kids to family day. I think we spent equal time in the inflatables and on the golf cart!

More playtime...

This afternoon we wound up in Grandville and let the kids play at the "big mall" too. Caleb was brave this time and loved the slide!

We ran a few errands tonight and ended with a trip to the play area at the mall. Always a fun time!

Happy Easter!

This morning Dan and I participated in a full-scale drama that someone from our church wrote. Dan led the band, played a role, and led the choir. I sang in the choir and played a role as well. Afterward we went straight to my parents' house to celebrate East with some of my family. It was a full day! Unfortunately, in all of the busyness I neglected to pack the camera. I asked my dad to take some pictures, which I will hopefully be able to post someday. Until then, just know that the kids were really cute!

Spinning

Our kids like to dance. Lillian twirls and Caleb spins. They may look exactly the same, but spinning sounds more manly.
