... err... handsome after his bath!
Maybe he will have some curls after all?!

Another photo shoot
I took so many pictures of Lillian and Caleb when they were babies that I certainly don't want Liam to feel left out. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Liam's first haircut
This morning Dan agreed that I could give Liam his first haircut. I didn't cut much, but the hair around his ears was getting pretty long and the hairs in front were in need of a slight trim. Here is the before picture:

Boys will be boys
Dan took some pictures of the boys being extra sweet today.
And tonight Liam was being extra sweet and cuddly... perhaps a bit too much!

Nine months old (belated again)!
Since I was behind on Liam's eight month post it's only fitting that I am behind on this one too, right? Liam has had an exciting month! He got his first top tooth on Christmas Eve, just after turning eight months old. Several days later his second top tooth came in. He did not enjoy this process! Tylenol and Ibuprofen seemed to help but we even gave a teething necklace a try to see if it would offer any additional relief. With all of the teething going on, his nighttime sleeping has not been as seamless as it used to be. But, we're working on getting back to that!
Liam is now eating cheerios and small bits of bread. We'll experiment with more finger foods in the future.
Liam is still our big boy but he actually lost weight this month! He lost just a couple ounces and weighed in at 23.5 lbs at the doctor's office.

Liam is rolling more and more these days but not yet crawling. He babbles on da, ja, ah, and ha sounds. He is an absolute sweetie and we all love him very much!
Relaxing Sunday
The boys were looking especially cute for church today in their matching tie shirts so I took even more pictures than usual!
Lillian and I had a fun time playing in her room this afternoon while the boys napped.
Thank you God for Sundays!

Ice Sculpting Competition
This afternoon we took a trip downtown to see the Downtown Holland Ice Sculpting Competition. It was chilly but we enjoyed seeing all of the unique sculptures.

Brunch and snow fun
This morning we met up with Peter, Megan, and the kids for a delicious brunch at DeBoer Bakkerij. The menu was quite impressive, so it took some serious studying.
Did I mention the food was incredible? We will definitely have to go back. It's hard to believe that we live in Holland and this was our first time eating there!

It was great to spend time with Peter, Megan, and the kids. So great,
in fact, that we decided we needed to spend more time with them! We
went over to my parents' house so we could all hang out a bit longer.
Once again, Dan and I are so thankful for a fabulous time with both of our families (and our own family of five!) this Christmas!

Arts and crafts
Scenes like this are pretty common around our house.
Yes, Lillian is still in jammies at noon... we love Christmas break!

DeYoung Christmas, day two
This morning we returned to my parents' house for a yummy brunch, too many presents, and lots of fun together!
Liam kept himself occupied while the rest of us ate.
After a delicious brunch and a little clean-up time we gathered in the living room to sing and open presents.
I woke Liam from his nap so he could join in on the festivities.
Liam got his first glow-in-the dark jammies!
Caleb was excited to get another googly eye shirt!
The cousins took full advantage of having more time to play together.
