A day of festivities

Five years ago Dan celebrated his first Father's Day, which just so happened to fall on his birthday.  Today the holidays align once again.  It was a typical Sunday morning with Dan going early to church to lead rehearsal.  Afterward we went to Red Robin to celebrate.  I thought this would be a lovely time for us to spend together as a family before participating in an extended family gathering for the rest of the day.  Unfortunately the kids were a bit grumpy for some reason but we made the most of it anyway!
After lunch we went to my parents' house and spent the rest of the day with my entire immediate family and several of my aunts, uncles, cousins, and their families.  It was a full house but the adults had nice conversation and the kids had a lot of fun playing together.
Of course there was plenty of food!

Caleb and Gabriel spent most of the day together.  They were very sweet to watch - they would take turns following each other around with trucks and repeating what the other had to say!
We also celebrated Paul's birthday, which is tomorrow.  It was quite the festive day!
Happy Birthday and happy Father's Day to Dan!  Thanks for sharing your special day and thanks even more for being such a loving, hard-working, fun daddy and husband!
