Swimming!

Today I got to go swimming for the first time in Grandma and Papa's pool!
My cousins Seth and Micah came for a visit and we all got to swim together.

Another busy Sunday

Today Mommy sang on the worship team again, which means all three of us spent a long morning at church. I did pretty well during rehearsal this time and even got to test out the microphone.
I also had a lot of fun in nursery.
After church we had lunch with the other staff people from church. I was a good girl but missed my morning nap completely. We went back home and I slept for about an hour but woke up miserable and screaming. Mommy said I was something called "inconsolable," which apparently is not normal for me. I was really upset for quite a while and Mommy and Daddy think it is because of some big teeth (molars) that I have coming through. Later that night we met with our CABLE group and I got a bit silly again.

Mike and Sam's wedding

Today is our friends' wedding day! Before the big event we went out to run some errands and Daddy got a little silly.
Later on Mommy and Daddy went to the wedding while I stayed and had fun with Grandma. Here are some pictures they took at the reception.

Rehearsal dinner

Tonight we went to a rehearsal dinner for our friends Sam and Mike, who are getting married tomorrow.
Earlier in the day I got to play in the church nursery while Daddy practiced his music. I love trying out new toys!

Breakfast and wheelbarrows

This morning Mommy, Daddy, and I went out for breakfast. We went to a little restaurant called Jackie's Place and had yummy pancakes.
Later in the day we spent some time outside working in the yard.

Boo boo

Last night I got my first skinned knee. I sat down on my knees, as I usually do, but this time it hurt because I sat down on the cement. Ouch!
Mommy kissed it to make it all better and gave me this band-aid, which I like to pick at.

New toy!

Mommy and Daddy say that I am quite the active little girl and a pretty good climber. Because of that, Mommy has been watching craigslist for a good deal on some sort of climbing toy. Well, she found one and just picked it up (from only a few blocks away!) yesterday. I am already having so much fun!

New tricks

This afternoon Mommy, Daddy, and I went downtown to get ice cream and take a walk. While we were eating our ice cream I learned two new things: how to drink from a straw...
...and how to blow bubbles!

Houghton Lake, Day Four

Today I got to go swimming for the very first time!! Mommy and Daddy weren't sure what I would think, but I loved it!

Later that night the whole family went out for ice cream before it was time for us to go home.

Houghton Lake, Day Three

Happy Fourth of July to everyone! And, happy sixth birthday to Abbey!
We went to the Houghton Lake craft fair. The whole family went together!
Later in the afternoon we went on our first boat ride of the season.

Houghton Lake, Day Two

This morning Bada, Mommy, Daddy, and I went to an outlet mall and did a little shopping. We stopped at Carter's and found a new pair of jammies and a cute outfit to wear tomorrow (thanks, Bada!). I also got to play with Daddy in the store!
Outside the store there was a neat fire truck just my size!
We did some more shopping after that and I had fun checking out the mirrors.
Later tonight Uncle Dave and Aunt Jen are supposed to arrive at the cottage and tomorrow Aunt Mindy will come. Then we will all be together to celebrate my second Fourth of July. Hooray!

Houghton Lake, Day One

After lunch today all four of us got in the car and rode up north to Houghton Lake. Daddy's parents (Bada and Poppy) own a cottage there and everyone is going to be together for the Fourth of July. We had a great trip out and I slept part of the way. Once we got there we went to a store to get some food for the weekend. I enjoyed checking out the watermelon!
